The logic behind the light
Here is the thing: when you speed up your conveyor, the ink spends less time under the light. Less time means less energy, which usually leads to that annoying “tacky” feel or, worse, ink that just doesn’t dry. We fix that by stacking lamps in a row. By adding more UV heads in a series, you’re hitting the surface with way more power. This means you can crank up the line speed and still get a rock-solid cure every single time. It’s fast. Really fast. And that changes everything for your daily output.
Making it fit
We use quartz glass for the envelopes because it lets the UV light through without any fuss. But we also care about your floor space. These units are built to be drop-in replacements. If you’re dealing with some old, bulky dinosaur of a system, you can swap it out for these and save a ton of room. Plus, we use standard connectors. If a tube burns out, you can swap it in a few minutes and get back to work, rather than spending half your afternoon messing with wiring.
The heat headache
Now, there’s a catch. More power equals more heat. If you cram too many lamps into a tight spot, you’re going to have problems. Thin PET or plastic films will start to warp or “cockle.” It’s a nightmare. That’s why your exhaust fans have to be up to the task. If your cooling is weak, you’ll be forced to turn down the power just to keep the material flat—which completely kills the point of having a high-output system.
